This site is an extension of the classroom. Art is a studio class, and it is very important that your student be in the studio learning, creating and collaborating with his/her/their peers and teacher. 80-100% of the work created, should be created in the classroom. Sketchbooks are 'homework'. If a student needs extra time to complete a task, they are encouraged to come to the art classroom at lunch to catch-up. Students are also permitted to work in the studio or darkroom during their spare, if it is pre-arranged with the teacher. Due to the photographic nature of this class, students are encouraged to take photographs beyond classroom time (but time is given during class to take photographs). The best camera is the one that they have with them (including phones); however, if a student has a digital camera, they are encouraged to bring it to class and learn how to use it to its full capabilities.
